AUSTRALIA’S largest independent oil and gas company Woodside has thrown its weight behind the nation’s biggest oil and gas event by becoming a Principal Sponsor for the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) 2017 event in Perth.

The largest operator of oil and gas production in Australia, Woodside joins the Western Australian Department of Commerce and the City of Perth as Principal Sponsors for AOG 2017 which will be staged at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from February 22 to 24.

Woodside has also taken up the position of Collaboration Forum Partner and Diversity & Inclusion Gold Sponsor for AOG 2017.

“We are really pleased to have such a major player in the Australian oil and gas industry take on such a prominent role in the setting of the agenda for AOG 2017,” AOG Event Director, Bill Hare, said.

“Aside from being a leader in the ‘Technology and Innovation’ day of our ground-breaking Collaboration Forum at AOG 2017, Woodside will also be providing a number of high profile presenters over the three days of AOG,” Mr Hare said.

Woodside’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mike Utsler and Senior Vice President Shaun Gregory are confirmed as speakers for the Collaboration Forum, while the company’s General Manager – Subsea, Morgan Harland, will be presenting at the Subsea Forum at AOG 2017.

The company will also be making presentations on the “Greater Western Flank Phase 2 Development” and “Decommissioning and Subsea Processing” in the Subsea Forum at AOG 2017.

The Collaboration and Subsea forums will be joined by the Knowledge Forum as three of the major events to be staged at AOG 2017.
