WOODSIDE has made strong progress on plans to integrate gas from its Pluto development into the domestic marketplace.

Announcing that it had record fourth-quarter Pluto LNG production, Woodside also reported on progress of two developments that will see Pluto gas enter the local market in the second half of 2018.

The Woodside-led Pluto LNG joint venture has approved development of a LNG truck-loading facility which will extend existing infrastructure from the onshore processing facility to provide LNG for distribution within Western Australia.
Woodside said potential applications include remote power generation and heavy transport fuel. Start-up of the facility is targeted in H2 2018.
The company also reported that preparations have commenced for the installation of a compressor capable of delivering 10-25 TJ/day of gas into the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

Following all required approvals, Woodside said Pluto gas is expected to be supplied to customers in Western Australia from H2 2018.
