OIL AND GAS services company Transfield Services has secured two new contracts with Santos to provide services to its facilities in the Cooper and Eromanga basins in central Australia.
The General Services contract facilitates the provision of operation and maintenance services and minor capital works and is for a period of three years with two one-year extension options.
The new Master Construction Contract, which provides a framework through which Transfield Services can participate in tenders for larger project work, will last for three years only.
The contracts replace a sole contract Transfield had with Santos, the company said.
Transfield managing director Graeme Hunt said the company maintained a solid relationship with blue chip oil and gas clients both in Australia and overseas, with the company securing US$160 million worth of work in maintenance renewal and committed turnaround in Canada in the 2014-2015 financial year.
“Despite the current headwinds in the energy sector, we are maintaining relationships and will continue to help our clients optimise the productivity of their operations,” said Mr Hunt.
These agreements follow Transfield Services new contract with Woodside announced in December 2014 to provide multidiscipline implementation services at its North West Shelf project offshore facilities.
