UPSTREAM Production Solutions (PS) has signed a $30 million contract for operational and maintenance services support to the Northern Endeavour floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
New field operator Northern Oil & Gas Australia has hired Upstream PS to provide offshore and onshore operations and maintenance services to the vessel for an initial term of three years.
The Northern Endeavour has been the production vessel associated with the formerly Woodside-operated Laminaria Corallina oilfield, in the Timor Sea, since 1999.
Upstream PS managing director Joe Corvetti said he was delighted to be supporting Northern Oil & Gas Australia’s foundation asset.
“This represents a significant milestone for Upstream PS and a great opportunity to continue expanding our strong offshore capability,” he said.
“This contract also complements our existing portfolio of operations and maintenance, engineering and production assurance services engagements across Australia.”
Geoff Jones, managing director of Upstream PS parent company GR Engineering, said the contract award showed that Upstream PS would play an increasingly important role in GR Engineering’s diversification strategy, with contracts like these and others.
The Laminaria Corallina oilfield is located in the Bonaparte basin about 550 kilometres north-west of Darwin in petroleum production licence areas AC/L5 and WA 18 L.
