FOUR rotary seal profiles have been released into Oz Seals’ custom sealing range, designed for speeds of up to 10 metres per second and up to 100 bar pressure.
The seals, BP3C, BP3DC, BPHPA and BPHPB, can be used for rotary applications for any industry, Oz Seals said.
They can be found in a wide variety of industries and applications, including underground mining, drill rigs, air motors, mixers, pumps, engines, hydraulic pumps and boats.
Oz Seals managing director Wil Prinz said the recommended materials for these profiles are nitrile butadiene rubber, hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber, Oz Super Red Polymer (ORSP), Viton and Aflas Extreme, depending on the media.
They may be accompanied with a carbon fibre filled PTFE – also known as a TMCF – or Oz Monyt Super Polyurethane carriers, which holds the elastomeric part, prevents rotation and locks it stationary into the housing.
“The new oil seal profiles can be produced in any size with the seal manufacturing software we developed, which is linked into one of our powerful Oz Manufacturing Systems,” Mr Prinz said.
“Sometimes standard seals can’t reach their limits and that is when we can help with these profiles to reach beyond standard limits.”
