BEACH Energy managing director Robert Cole has resigned from the company, Beach announced in mid-September.

Mr Cole will remain with Beach until 14 October 2015 to allow for an orderly transition.

Beach said as announced on 19 August 2015 Mr Cole has been on leave to attend to family matters in Perth and as a result of those matters, Mr Cole has decided it is not possible to return to a full time executive role with Beach in Adelaide.

Mr Cole has accordingly resigned from the position.

Beach said in the circumstances the board has waived what would otherwise have been notice requirements under Mr Cole’s employment agreement and the company will commence the process of replacing Mr Cole.

In the meantime, Neil Gibbins will continue in the role of acting chief executive until a new managing director is appointed.

Beach said its executive team and staff are committed to delivering on the strategy announced on 12 August 2015.
