IN early November the organiser of the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) 2017 announced that registrations were open for Australia’s largest oil and gas event.

To be held for the 36th time, AOG 2017 will feature a revitalised exhibition in addition to conference content that will ensure attendees have an unsurpassed opportunity to learn about the latest developments that are occurring across the world in a dynamically changing oil and gas industry.

One of the major changes is in the Conference programming, where the event organiser has called upon the oil and gas industry to help develop the content for next year’s event.

The result is a series of free industry forums that will feature input from leading E&P and service and supply companies, relevant government departments and international and local industry bodies.

AOG Event Director at Diversified Communications, Bill Hare, says the AOG 2017 Exhibition and Conference has literally been built by and for the industry.

“We undertook a lot of close dialogue with the industry and really adapted our planning for 2017 to the commentary,” Mr Hare said.

This includes a decision to replace the traditional two day conference and to replace it with the range of free to enter, high-level forums over three days.

These forums will be staged right on the exhibition floor, allowing attendees to gain easy access to the best in industry content provided by experts from across the globe.

The three forums featured at AOG 2017 are:

AOG 2017 will again feature a number of specialist “Zones” on the exhibition floor, covering key topics such as subsea, health, safety and environment, NDT and condition monitoring, instrumentation control and automation – and new zones for 2017, asset management and maritime.

The event will also provide a number of popular networking activities to provide attendees with a unique opportunity to make new contacts or catch up with old ones.

With significant international participation again expected exhibitors from the world’s leading oil and gas location will be heading to Perth in 2017.

AOG 2017 will be staged at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre (PCEC) from February 22 to 24.
