ORRCON Steel will soon launch a range of zinc alloy pre-coated steel tube sections into the market, providing what it says is exceptional corrosion resistance for tubular steel products used near marine and orrosive industrial environments.

Orrcon Steel sales and marketing manager Lester Kirkwood said the new Maxi-Tube range would provide a sustainable solution to corrosion issues.

“It is a real game-changer for us, suitable for a wide range of steel tube and pipe applications where corrosion resistance is required,” he said.

The tubes have a lower life cycle and maintenance costs than galvanised products, with Orrcon saying independents studies showed the pipes provided at least 50 per cent greater corrosion resistance than traditional Batch Hot-Dip Galvanised steel.

The products can be welded, painted and powdercoated and are suitable for coastal, industrial, intensive farming, food processing and infrastructure applications.

Maxi-Tube comes with a warranty of up to 25 years depending on the environment and the application in which the product will be used.
