OFFSHORE Mooring and Subsea services provider Delmar Systems has made two appointments at its Perth office which it says will bolster its team.

Mark Mithran has been appointed as the company’s lead marine engineer.

Mr Mithran holds a master of oil and gas engineering from the University of Western Australia, specialising in offshore engineering and naval architecture.

He has considerable offshore mooring engineering experience working on a variety of mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) projects offshore Australia, Delmar said.

Gopi Chillamcharla joins Delmar as its Australian technical manager.

Mr Chillamcharla has extensive experience working in the mooring and offshore construction industry, including many MODU related design projects with oil and gas operators in the Asia Pacific region.

He also holds a master of oil and gas engineering from the University of Western Australia, specialising in offshore engineering and naval architecture.

Delmar Systems engineering manager John Shelton said both men brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company’s Australia-based team.

“It is exciting to welcome these new additions with experienced credentials to continue building on our success in the region,” he said.
