MARINE and engineering consultancy London Offshore Consultants (LOC) has opened a second Australian office in Sydney to serve the marine market.
In an announcement, LOC said the Sydney office would specialise in include hull and machinery advisory, protection and indemnity club work, expert services and casualty management.
The group opened an office in Perth last year.
The Sydney office will be headed by master mariner Drew Shannon, one of the company’s 12 appointed special casualty representatives globally.
“We have great ambitions to grow the LOC presence further and with the combined capabilities of both Perth and Sydney offices, LOC will be able to provide a comprehensive suite of services to serve clients in the Australasia region,” he said.
LOC managing director in Australia Adam Solomons said the group had seen an “encouraging” increase of business enquiries from the eastern coast of Australia.
“With an LOC office in Sydney, we are able to respond quicker to clients in this region and by providing the highest standard of service to our clients; we believe this will benefit LOC in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and globally,” he said.
