TO BETTER deliver localised support, subsea and topside service provider, James Fisher Offshore (JFO) has relocated its Asia Pacific facilities to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, from Singapore.
The move will enable the company to reach its customers operating in the offshore hub, which it described as a thriving oil and gas region.
JFO has expanded into a strategically located base to provide support to its customers’ deep water mobilisations, enabling a reduction in the supply chain with its extensive equipment fleet.
In addition, the move will support increased operational efficiency for subsea construction, drilling and decommissioning projects and customer’s critical path activities, it said.
Having operated from Singapore for over a year, this relocation and expansion will enable JFO to deliver enhanced support to its customers in the provision of subsea and topside equipment and services, including being the sole distributor of Ingersoll Rand material handling equipment in Malaysia.
JFO managing director Jack Davidson said during the next five years this region was expected to become a major oil and gas market due to its significant growth.
“This relocation means we are brilliantly placed to deliver specialist subsea and topside services to support key customers,” he said.
“Our strength lies in being able to combine our specialist services, products and personnel into a tailored solution for complex subsea projects, utilising our extensive experience and expertise to provide cost effective and fully optimised methodologies that our customers can benefit from,” he said.
“Our ambitious regional growth strategy very much underpins our focus on continuing to provide reliable integrated solutions to the energy industry,” Mr Davidson added.
