og-aust-oct-2016_0010AUSTRALIA’S largest oil and gas event will be introducing a number of exciting innovations when it is staged for the 36th time in 2017.

The AOG Exhibition & Conference (AOG) 2017 event will this year include a number of high level forums – right on the exhibition floor – with the event organisers placing a major focus on collaboration and innovation between all industry participants.

AOG 2017 will feature three forum events

  • A Collaboration Forum – which is being led by a committee of high profile industry specialists from Woodside, Accenture, National Energy Resources Australia (NERA) and the Western Australian government;
  • A Subsea Forum – with critical input from the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), Subsea Energy Australia (SEA) and Subsea UK; and
  • A Knowledge Forum – Covering a range of critical topics including instrumentation, control & automation, asset management, corrosion control and more.

“We undertook a good deal of in-depth consultation with industry after AOG 2016 to both discuss the current state of the sector and to see where participants saw events like AOG going,” AOG Event Director at Diversified Communications, Bill Hare, said.

“One of the things that quite clearly came out of that consultation is that AOG remains a critical event on the annual oil and gas industry event calendar, particularly as it is seen as being a major conduit for the presentation of new ideas and innovations, while fostering collaboration between operators and suppliers,” Mr Hare added.

Diversified has also reacted to the industry’s desire to reduce costs in a “lower for longer” oil price environment and attendance at the industry forums at AOG will be available at no cost, while exhibition stand space charges have been significantly reduced.

AOG 2017 will once again feature a number of specialist “Zones” on the exhibition floor, covering key topics such as subsea, maritime activities and Health, Safety and Environment,  NDT and condition monitoring, instrumentation control and automation.

With a big international contingent already confirming its participation and strong local support – stand space is quickly filling up for AOG 2017, which will once again be a critical event for anyone interested in the oil and gas industry.
