KNIGHT Oil Tools have announced the appointment of a new duo to lead the company’s Asia Pacific operations, with Gholam Rastegar hired as regional manager and Ricardo Montemayor taking a position as country manager for Australia.
Mr Rastegar has over 30 years’ experience with oilfield companies in Australia, Scotland, Africa and the Middle East, having worked for Enterra Corporation, Drilltech and DSI FZE, among others.
He graduated from Thames Polytechnic in London with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and has post graduate diplomas in engineering from the Western Australian Institute of Technology and in business administration from Curtin University of Technology.
Montemayor, a US Air Force veteran, has extensive industry experience in completions, re-entry operations and wellbore intervention with Baker Hughes and Weatherford International.
His most recent position was fishing and re-entry business unit manager for Weatherford in Australia.
Both Rastegar and Montemayor will headquarter in the company’s office in Perth, Australia.
