OIL AND Gas services companies G&H Solutions and Archer have raised over $5,000 for charity in the inaugural “Day on the Green” event, held at Nedlands Golf Club.
A total of 45 people from 20 companies involved in the Oil & Gas industry attended the March event – a fundraiser for Parkerville Children & Youth Care.
The day was won by the Specialised Welding team of Paul Broadbridge and Murray Hill, while winners of the longest drive and closest to the pin were Kelvin Andrijich, Ryan Cook from Bollore Logistics and Stephen Blair, Obe Gjerde from Wood Group.
Funds raised in the event will be used to provide services to children, young people and families which have suffered trauma from abuse, Parkerville said.
“A service of high demand currently is our George Jones Child Advocacy Centre in Armadale, where children can be supported in one single unit providing multidisciplinary and specialist recovery services, which include police investigation, child advocacy, psychology and social work services,” the group said.
