The eyes of the oil and gas industry will turn towards Perth tomorrow when one of the world’s leading petroleum industry events opens its doors for the 36th time.

The three day Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) will run from Wednesday February 22 to Friday February 24 and will bring together key decision makers from around the globe to discuss the latest developments for an oil and gas industry that is turning around after three years in the doldrums.

International delegations from the leading oil and gas centres will be strongly represented at AOG in 2017, along with many overseas companies and individuals keen to be a part of the important discussions that will take place at the three days of specialised “Industry Forums” that will be staged at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) this week.

Content for the industry forums is being led by organisations including Woodside, Deloitte, National Energy Resources Australia, the Western Australian Government and a wealth of local and international groups representing specialists ranging from upstream exploration through to downstream maintenance.

The international groups will also be out to promote their wares and skills in Australia and to meet those involved in the local industry at the nation’s largest oil and gas event.

AOG has a well-earned reputation as a significant information forum and as a stepping stone for international companies looking to win contracts in Australia and also in setting up business here.

“As well as being a fantastic conduit for the sharing of knowledge and for promoting new technologies, AOG also provides a unique opportunity for the exhibitors and visitors to make critical contacts and, in a way, test the water, and that has been a major attraction throughout the long history of the event,” AOG Event Director, Bill Hare, said.

“And that goes for local and interstate companies as well as the international ones,” Mr Hare added.

AOG 2017 will also feature a range of specialist industry displays and networking events that will cater for the needs of anyone interested in the oil and gas sector.
