CLOUGH AMEC has been awarded the $20 million engineering, procurement and construction management contract for work on Arrow Energy’s Daandine expansion contract in South East Queensland.
The Daandine Expansion Project includes the installation of additional well facilities and new gas and water gathering pipelines in the Daandine field in Queensland’s Surat basin.
Amec regional director for Australia East, Steve Ciccone, said the company would draw on its coal seam gas engineering expertise for work on the project.
Clough managing director Kevin Gallagher said the Daandine Expansion Project represented a significant investment in domestic gas supply in the region, with the company aiming to reduce installed costs.
The contract scope includes the expansion of the existing central gas processing facility with three new reciprocating gas-driven compressors and associated process and utility plant – thereby increasing the current total number of wells in the Daandine gas field by 22.
The joint venture said the contract was set to run to the end of 2015.
