Uruguay next venture area for Statoil

Wood Group secures PetroRio Brazil contract

WOOD Group will deliver operations and maintenance services to the Polvo A platform in the southern Campos basin as part of a recently awarded contract by PetroRio. Integrated operations and maintenance services will be provided by Wood Group PSN under the two year contract, which is effective immediately, Wood Group said in a January announcement. Campos basin is located about 100 kilometres off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Modec and partners plan for FPSO

MODEC will team up with three fellow Japanese companies to invest in a long-term deepwater floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel charter project for work offshore Brazil. Modec will team with Mitsui & Co, Mitsui OSK Lines and Marubeni Corporation to provide a vessel for work in the Tartaruga Verde and Tartaruga Mestiça oilfields. AUSTRALIAN oil and gas explorer Karoon Gas announced completion of its side-track program of the company’s Kangaroo 2 appraisal well, located in offshore Brazil.
