AUSTRALIAN start-up Obzervr is using smartphone technology and Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services to trim costs for the oil and gas industry, as part of its debut at the AOG 2018 Exhibition and Conference.
Obzervr created “Humans of AOG,” an interactive data experience to demonstrate this powerful technology. Using cognitive services, the software visualises participants’ energy level, mood, age and other statistics in context. This creates a visual story of the three-day conference.
Obzervr uses the same technology to create efficiency and enable decision support in the Oil and Gas industry. Its mobile apps bring context, knowledge and accuracy to field operations, guiding them through their fieldwork, on any device, and even offline.
Obzervr’s business intelligence platform makes sense of new, rich field data, creating perspective and transparency. As a result, decision makers have real-time access to their field operations data, unlocking insights previously hidden in spreadsheets and paper.
“Using Obzervr, client field teams boost productivity by at least 33% with some customers reducing reporting times from weeks to days. Inaccuracies are drastically reduced and real-time decision support is made possible.” says
Obzervr CEO Tania Walter. “We have only just begun our disruption to this space. We are excited to share our vision of using AI to improve the field digital experience, putting engineers back in roles they were trained for and driving better client outcomes using data.”
