A MOBILE-ENABLED maintenance and repair service introduced by AkzoNobel is designed to reduce costs and improve safety for its protective coating and passive fire protection customers.

Known as Interplan Mobile, the technology delivers detailed corrosion survey information directly to customers via a personalised extranet site, helping to quickly identify the areas in most need of attention.

The in-depth reports combine both photographic and on-site data to provide a full condition report, saving the customer both time and money by avoiding costly coating repairs later in the lifecycle of an asset, AkzoNobel said.

Using inbuilt iPad software, AkzoNobel’s coatings and corrosion inspectors can now complete a site survey up to 40 per cent quicker than a traditional, manual inspection.
