CHEVRON has signed a five-year maintenance services contract with AusGroup subsidiary AGC Industries for the operational phase of its assets in Western Australia.
The brownfield maintenance and support services contract will be delivered as part of a five-year multi-discipline contract.
The contract will create at least 100 local jobs as well as traineeship and apprenticeship opportunities for the indigenous community through AusGroup’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) program, AusGroup said in an announcement.
AusGroup managing director Stuart Kenny said he was pleased the group would be able to continue to work on what he said were some of the country’s premier oil and gas assets over the next five years.
“This is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate to our clients and shareholders that we have the foresight to secure our position in the market and maintain a steady revenue stream regardless of the decline of oil and gas prices,” he said.
